Carnival week + studying for exams doesn't match.
It is carnival week here on Saba. This entails EXTREMELY loud music and parades every night since Monday from dusk until about 2 in the morning. The whole idea is cool - the whole island basically parties together every night for a week. However, I am not a Saba resident. I am a medical student - one that is coming very close to final exams. Sleep and studying are important to me and carnival is getting in the way. *Sigh*
Tomorrow night/Saturday morning will be the biggest part and I might get woken up at 3:30 in the morning by the beginning of a day-long parade. Yes, I said 3:30 A.M. - that's when the party starts on Saturday - WOOHOO! Good thing the library is pretty much sound proof. My bedroom on the other hand is not - hence I am writing this blog at 12:45 and not sleeping...
